All students are expected to be available to be in school until 21 July 2017
Students are expected for the new school year on Wednesday 6 September 2017
* Please note the standard Dutch May vacation is 22 - 30 April, it is a school arrangement to close on from 22 April - 07 May.
The school may also close for staff training, meeting and other circumstances. These dates will be updated in the school calendar as soon as they are known.
10 October: the school will be closed for MYP students on the 10 October due to tInservice Training. Some DP lessons may go ahead.
21 April: due to activities in the Maartenscollege the ISG will be provisonally closed. Please check our calendar for definative confirmation.
Absence from school outside these vacation dates is not permitted under Dutch regulations.
Under extraordinary circumstances permission maybe obtained directly from the Head of School -see here
Provisional vacation dates 2017/18
Autumn Holiday: 21 - 29 October 2017
Christmas Holiday: 23 December 2017 - 7 January 2018
Spring Holiday: 24 February - 4 March 2018
May Holiday: 28 April - 6 May 2017 (maybe extended by an extra week)
Summer Holiday: 21 July - 2 September 2017
Please note: Provisional dates for all future vacations are always available from the official Dutch ministry website. Please look at this site for more details (in Dutch only) - please note that the international school Groningen is a 'VO' school in region 'noord'.
